About

Deleesha Moore, LICSW- MA
Mental Health Clinician

Life can be overwhelming, especially when stress, difficult emotions, or long-standing patterns begin to interfere with your ability to feel balanced and fulfilled. You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, mood swings, trauma, or simply feeling stuck in cycles that no longer serve you. These experiences can feel isolating—but you don’t have to navigate them alone.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen and supported, while also gaining practical tools to help you move forward. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you deepen your understanding of yourself, uncover strengths you may not realize you already have, and develop strategies that bring more stability, clarity, and peace to your daily life.

In our work together, we’ll explore how your past experiences and present challenges intersect to shape your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This deeper awareness can help break old cycles and open space for healthier, more intentional choices. While reflection is important, I also believe in the power of action. That means we’ll focus on tangible coping skills you can use right away—whether that’s managing stress and anxiety, regulating emotions, setting healthy boundaries, or building routines that support your overall well-being.

I work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. No matter what brings you in, my approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll identify what matters most to you and chart a path toward meaningful, lasting change.

What excites me most about this work is helping clients rewrite their stories—moving from a place of feeling overwhelmed or stuck toward a life defined by resilience, growth, and self-compassion. You already hold the capacity for change; therapy simply provides the space, guidance, and support to help you access it.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to work with you. Let’s begin this journey together.

A Bit more

I hold both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Westfield State University. My passion for this field began with my own personal experiences, when I was fortunate to receive support from social workers during my studies. Their guidance left a profound impact on me and inspired my commitment to give back—to create the same sense of stability, compassion, and hope for others who are navigating difficult chapters in their lives.

Early in my career, I worked with homeless families and children, supporting them as they secured housing and began to process the experiences that had created barriers to moving forward. These moments were deeply meaningful—witnessing families rebuild their lives, reconnect with hope, and find safety reminded me daily of the power of empathy and community.

From there, I transitioned into outpatient work with teenagers and young adults. Many of them were balancing complex mental health diagnoses and behavioral challenges while also navigating the universal questions of identity, belonging, and future goals. Guiding them through this stage of life—building trust, offering strategies for managing trauma, and fostering resilience—became one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

I later expanded my practice to include older adults and individuals with chronic disabilities. This experience deepened my understanding of flexibility and inclusivity, as I adapted my approach to meet each person’s unique needs. Whether supporting someone through grief, helping them adjust to life changes, or promoting ongoing mental health stability, I came to see the value of tailoring therapy to honor the whole person.

Across all of these experiences, my guiding principle has remained the same: therapy must be client-centered. Every individual’s story, strengths, and challenges are different, and the therapeutic space should reflect that. My work focuses on helping clients manage anxiety and depression, process trauma, navigate mood disorders, and move through life transitions with greater clarity and self-compassion.

Now, in private practice, I am honored to work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals who share a commitment to providing exceptional care. Together, we offer a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients can feel seen, understood, and equipped with tools to move forward in meaningful ways.
